Pick Your Candidate With Just Eleven Questions

Dan sent me a link to a fun quiz that matches your views on various issues with the candidates' stated positions. Here are my results:

Nonetheless, I'm still voting for Obama. Which raises the obvious question: What's the Matter with Brendan?

You can take the quiz here.

And not that I get to vote or anything, but:

The "Energy" question was interesting. IMHO Federal govt "assistance" for ethanol and biofuel is a particularly unimportant question, given the dubious environmental benefits of both.

Anyway that was the only thing I had in common with the low scores at the bottom. Just think, if they had asked a more relevant energy question (ratify Kyoto, anyone?) I might have scored some zeros!

Before I take the quiz, I'm just going to predict that my list will look a lot like yours. I don't have a "favorite" at this time, but would if Al Gore declared. Of those available, I lean (barely) towards Hillary. I don't consider Kucinich a viable candidate, but I'm betting he will be at, or near, the top of the list after I do the quiz.

The top of my list is indeed a lot like yours. The rest is kind of "off and on".

The thing the scares me is that Guilani came in ahead of Biden on my list (though both were pretty low). I don't know if it says more about me, or Biden - but something stinks in this barn!

Apparently, in my case, Kucinich is even MORE of a slam dunk than with you (and further ahead than the Number 2 choice for either Clare or Alastair). He would probably even beat Gore if he were included, but I'd still stick with Gore.

Kucinich - 56
Dodd - 44
Gravel - 43
Richardson-43
Edwards - 41
Clinton - 39
Obama - 39
Guilani - 30
Biden - 29
Paul - 25
Romney - 19
Gilmore - 12
Brownback- 10
Huckabee - 5
Hunter - 5
McCain - 3

Thanks for sharing your results, everybody.

Clare -- I know what you mean about who came in at #1 for you. I felt the same way about my results. I did see Gravel on Bill Maher a few weeks ago. No there there, to put it politely.

Alastair -- I wish you could vote. And I agree with you about the subsidizing biofuel issues.

John -- I'm with you about Gore.
