Remember Scott Beauchamp, the US Army private who contributed some diary entries about his life in Iraq to The New Republic two years ago, who was subsequently set upon with all the fury the right-wing smear machine could muster? Whereupon TNR threw him under the bus?
You should really read what John Cole and Atrios (via) have to say about recent developments. Won't take you but a minute or two, and Beauchamp deserves that time from everyone.
