In. Touch.

This bit from Roy's latest must be reblogged.

From the Update, wingnut line of the week department:

Second place winner: Tevi Troi at Real Clear Politics, in his brow-squeezer "Can Republicans Close the Pop Culture Gap?" --

A move towards hipness must come from the party leaders themselves...

Um. Well. So ...

Who let the dogs out?

Never forget.

It also occurs to me that this is a hell of an admission for someone claiming to speak for the GOP or conservative movement or whatever. I mean, haven't they all been telling us since at least the Apocalypse of November 2008 that they are the RealAmericans, that they are teabaggin' grassroots-ers who are gonna Second Amendment remedy (and tweet) our way out of this socialist mess?

Yeah, when are those hepcat party leaders going to move toward hipness?

Sounds like a party I want to miss in any case, cuz these squares are still digging to Maynard Krebs. I'm sticking with Barack O and that groovy Dem Party.

You can see how he was just a' beeboppin' and a' skattin' his way to electoral victory WITHOUT sacrificing his dignity, unlike that lowbrow Obama. This is exactly the kind of move toward hipness the leaders of the Republican Party need to make. Mitch McConnell and John McCain should dance it Gangnam style on the Sunday Morning news shows to show that they are "down" with the youthsters of today, while wearing their caps backwards and eating the Jell-O pudding.

You, Mr. rex are definitely "down" with the youth. I doff my backwards baseball cap to you.
