Trolling the PACmen

Hmmm. This looks promising ...

Lotta wear and tear on this poster:

Now, this is a new one on me:

That guy to the left? I got him to the point of veins bulging all out of his forehead.

Also, who knew you could spray when you hiss liberal?

Good times.

Ah, nostalgia: In those halcyon '70s & '80s there was a veneer of sophistication & a much more restrained use of graphics about the whole LaRouche cult, which was mostly younger & a bit more fresh-faced than your new friend. (No recording?)

And at 89, Lyndon's probably not in strict control.

Plenty of Obama w/ Hitler 'stache images there too.

It's gonna be a sad day when LaRouche dies. He's such a reliable provider of crazy.

Please tell us more about how you got the veins poppin!

PS- Check out George Johnson's "Architects of Fear" if you can find a copy. The chapter on LaRouche is great.

Didn't say anything at all unusual. Just basically responding with my belief that there's a role for government in financial hard times; that yes, I don't like the targeting of American citizens but (a) let's talk about the reality of the threat and how we should set up a legal mechanism on this and (b) it's not quite as bad as invading a country under false pretenses and killing people wholesale; and like that. I think my insistence on remaining calm, with just a teeny tine hint of body language indicating that someone of his views was more to be pitied than anything else, was what did it.

I keep meaning to read that book of George's, along with several of his others. Thanks for the reminder. Adding it/them to the list now.

It's a bit dated (AOF) but totally worth the read for insight into conspiracy mentality. Not as great as Fir In the Mind, or The Palaces of Memory, but still pretty great.

Here's a taste from an essay that was recently re-printed:

Thanks for the link. Will look at later.

What's AOF?

AOF=Architects Of Fear

PS I'm envisioning a new drinking game called "Ron Paul or Lyndon LaRouche?"

"AOF" = D'oh!

Sometimes I amaze myself with my own cluelessness.

In re the drinking game: yes. But that one's easy to laugh about. The scary fringe that drives us to humorless drinking is what we now call "the mainstream Republicans."
