Very cool.
Mesmerizing!
My father's second (part time) job consisted in repairing clocks and watches.
As a child, I was fascinated by the way these pieces of machinery worked. I spent hours looking at the different mechanisms, springs, pendulums, weights, cuckoo clocks and many other varieties. Fun.
I've always been fascinated by gears and such, too. I have a copy on my desktop of this animated GIF of a Geneva mechanism that I swiped from Wikipedia, and I look at it all the time.
