After wallowing in the gloom of my previous post, I now feel a whole lot better. Thanks to Brando's Top 10 Tuesdays (special Wednesday edition), I came across this nugget on the Huff Post: "Fox News' Ratings Take a Nosedive."

I would characterize the situations as: Despite the Democrats' best efforts, they are gaining in popularity.
Evidently, dithering as a core strategy does occasionally work.
They have definitely not done much to distinguish themselves. The fact that this election is even contested is a testament to how mismanaged and corrupt the Republican party is, because they have done everything they can to consolidate their power. Except govern effectively and honestly ;-)
