LOL! That exact thing happened to me, once, except I was a Little League coach, not a player, and the person I beaned was a kid - maybe 12 years old - not an adult. And I threw the ball a lot harder. Fortunately, I hit him in the stomach instead of the head.
The kid just shrugged it off, while all the other kids thought it was hilarious.
