That's what I came to, eventually, too. But I have to say that when I first saw it, out of the corner of my eye, fifty feet away, through a sparse crowd of three-dimension humanoids . . .
Probably because I've watched a few too many dystopian sci-fi flicks.
I saw a hologram at a conference last year. I wasn't too impressed (perhaps due to exposure to sci-fi) but thought it was cool to start seeing this technology put into use.
Now I want to see 3D printing and holographic technology put together! Not sure how that would work, but it's worth the fantasy.
