I haven't been reading the papers as much in the past couple of weeks, because I've been having too much fun on vacation. Here are a few links that you might like, however:
- "Interior Official Assails Agency for Ethics Slide" -- forwarded to me by KK, with the astute subject line: "No Surprise" Story of the Day
- Quote for the day, 9/14/2006, courtesy of Andrew Sullivan
- "Time For Us To Go: Conservatives on why the GOP should lose in 2006" -- another nice link from andsul. I haven't had the chance to read all of the articles yet, so I'm partly posting this link to remind myself.
- "In search of coffee, tea or triacetone triperoxide" -- Garrison Keillor on Homeland Insecurity. Thanks (again) to andsul for the link. Viewing this piece requires (free) registration, which is fairly painless. Also, you're provided with an "unregister" option after you complete the process, which is nice. I'd recommend signing up, because there's a whole list of GK's recent columns available. But let me know if you'd rather just have me email you a copy.
- "Mr. Universe" -- an OpEd piece in the NY Times that mirrors my thinking
