Exposed root

Gnarly old thing, about nine inches long, that's always caught my eye. (Except when it's catching my bare big toe.) For some reason, it really jumped out today, possibly because the greens all around it are popping, surprisingly so, considering how gray the light is right at the moment. Not sure the camera caught the vividness completely, but I liked the job it did.

Flower updates?

Okay, I'll wait until tomorrow when it's sunny...

Heh. Actually, there are so many now, it almost feels silly to take more pictures of them.

Well, at least enjoy them!

Mine are still preparing for the big show. Vain!

Oh, I sure am! Thanks.

There doesn't seem to be a big show around here. Either my father really knew what he was going with the bulb planting lo those many years ago, or he got lucky, but in any case, it seems to be a long slow unveiling every spring around here. Which is nice.

So, up (over) here in mid-Michigan, there still aren't any leaves on the trees, but it has been in the high 70s and low 80s the last couple of days. A really bizarre combination.

Yeah, I was thinking something similar today myself: All these nice flowers popping up, but no buds on the bushes or trees.

Been in the 40s around here lately. Maybe we'll get some of your heat in a day or two.

Thought you were dental blogging for a second.

I'd think it was a snake & jump every time I saw it.
