Mark Crispin Miller, the author of "The Bush Dyslexicon," once made a striking observation: all of the famous Bush malapropisms -- "I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family," and so on -- have involved occasions when Mr. Bush was trying to sound caring and compassionate.

I took a class with Miller when I was at Penn. I was so taken by him. Brush with cleverness. Thus endeth my name-dropping for the day.
Sounds like a guy I could hang out with and share a pitcher of beer.
Sornie -
That's what they said about Bush.
Brendan -
"gynecologists trying to practice their love with women"! LOL!
Clare: Do tell!
LOL @ John @ Sornie.
And John: what's this about the gynecologists? An extraneous joke leaking out of your paste buffer?
Don't you remember THIS ONE ?
ROFLMAO!!!
No, I had never heard that one. Many thanks.
Lucky for you I had swallowed my beer before I read this, or you'd be owing me at least a new keyboard.
