Why blame NPR?

Ken:

I dislike NPR accepting money from organizations whose political goals are abhorrent to me. I grant the realities of having to loosen standards a little in order to keep the reporting quality high, but there comes a point where they should Just Say No.

Taking money from ADM is borderline. Wal-Mart is probably over the line. The movie "Expelled" is inarguably miles beyond. If you've read anything about this piece of dreck, you already know how dishonest it is in content and how dishonest the producers were in making it. If you don't know anything about it, you might start here.

If NPR has made the calculation that it's better to take wingnut money than make an effort to boost contributions from people like me, that's their business. But if they ever want to get me back, they're going to have to change that attitude.
