Sure, it's a LITTLE dorky-looking

But when you get to the office, this is what you'll be carrying in:

Yep. The whole thing collapses down into that. Pretty cool! It's called "Bikoff" and it was designed by Marcos Madia. Details on designboom.

Marcos is from Argentina, so for the US market, he may have to go back to the drawing board to get the wheels to spin in the other direction, but I am confident he will figure that part out.

Heh, yeah. You've probably heard a few too many Coriolis jokes from me.

(Which way did your eyes go, though, when you rolled them? DOWN, AMIRITE?)

(*ducks*)

At first it looked really cool, but once I saw that the bike doesn't fit into the case, it became just a folding bike with a place to attach the briefcase. Folding bikes with small wheels aren't very practical because you pump very fast to go very slowly and when you lean to make a turn the pedals hit the ground. You could probably walk much faster than you could pedal this thing and be less sweaty when you get there. I have a folding bike with 24 inch wheels and three speeds and it's still impractical except downhill.

Good points.

However, I don't know if I completely agree that walking would be more efficient than riding this thing. It is not, in the case of bikes in general, as I understand it. I am inclined to think going a mile or two on this at a relaxed pace would be less sweaty-making on a hot day than walking.
