That Old New Deal Nonsense

You may have heard various conservatives reciting one of their favorite chapters of revisionist history lately -- the claim that FDR's New Deal was a failure, or even that it made matters worse.

In case it's not immediately obvious to you that this is wingnuttery, and in most cases wingnut-welfare wingnuttery sponsored by the likes of the Heritage Foundation, Adam Cohen has a nice rebuttal in today's NYT.

Remember that none of those bloviators worries where his or her next meal is coming from, how the mortgage is going to get paid next month, or what would happen if a medical emergency suddenly popped up. Not one.
