I keep seeing people linking to this piece in Vanity Fair, most recently Ta-Nehisi Coates, who raves about it, but I haven't been able to summon up the energy to read it yet.
So, count this as a second-hand recommendation and a note to self.

I can highly recommend it. It IS long, but well worth remembering and thinking about. Assuming we never do anything to actually punish these people we have to at least point out what the problem was and that it can't happen again.
You're right about that, John. We really need a comprehensive "Never Forget, Never Again" program, because I'm sure there are brigades of hacks on wingnut welfare already gearing up to rewrite history in Bush's favor. cf. "The Bush Legacy Project."
