One vote. One fucking vote. What a different world this might have been. I still can't get past it, I guess. Seeing "Recount" probably didn't help.
Hard to know for sure, but a big part of me thinks that Gore only became who is today because he lost that election.
Of course, had he won, even in the worst case, he probably would have been about the same as Clinton. Which is to say, like nine billion times better than Bush.
Well, exactly. I agree it's debatable that he would have become this great spokesperson and leader of the environmental movement, but it would have been soooo worth the trade-off.
