In John McCain's Defense ...

... he can't see Spain from his house any of his houses. So, Oliver Willis, how's he supposed to know it's in Europe?

And remember, John McCain didn't have a wall map for five and a half years. Yes, I'm looking at you, John Aravosis.

Seriously, I'm wondering if McCain will actually make it to Election day or he will publicly fall apart before. I truly think he is walking a thin line.

I had thought (hoped) for a long time that McCain would hurt himself by losing his temper. I didn't expect him to lose his marbles.

I think he's probably fine if he only has to be "on" for a few hours a day. Unfortunately, that's not an option for the President.

Have you heard any reasonably informed comments on what's wrong with him?

Of course, it could be dementia. But, I suspect there could be other medical conditions and/or treatments that are affecting his cognition.

No, apart from the obvious observation that he's old. I don't think he's got a serious case of dementia. I just think he's acting his age, which among other things, means he doesn't have the stamina that he used to.

But 72 isn't that old. His memory should be relatively intact...

That's why they call them "senior moments" -- it's not like he might never have realized what was going on, given time and proper rest. It's just that he can't stay sharp for as long as he used to be able to.

Oh yea, duh, I read this post before work this morning, and then forgot all about it by the time I asked you about it after work. D'oh!

Apparently I should not run for president either! Sob!!!

That was hilarious about how McCain might say he didn't have a wall map for 5 and a half years!
