Thoreau informs me that there is a dispute among evolutionary biologists concerning the origin and development of the anus.
We do, however, know how it culminated.

LOL! And that's a great link. I will use it. I don't know when. I don't know how. But I will use it...
It does make you wonder about certain scientists' intellectual curiosity...
Anal retentives, the lot of them.
Phew! I almost got offended for a second before realizing that you don't consider my field science. What a relief!
I do know some people in other fields that appear to have strong anal retentive qualities. For example,... Ah... Forget it!
That's unfair. I am not that absolutist about your field not being a science. I just think it's not nearly as far along the road to maturity as some of the so-called "hard sciences," which, as I have noted elsewhere, should more properly be called the "easy sciences."
When I said "the lot of them," I was only speaking about those "certain scientists" to which you referred.

Brendan,
Do me a favor. Don't try to fix the comment. Don't explain. Just leave it alone. I'd rather think of this as something that you're well intentioned about, and stop there. Let's not elaborate. It will help world peace... Trust me.
