In an otherwise minor story about Sarah Palin telling another lie, this phrase jumped out at me:
Gov. Palin raised questions among the traveling press — confined under police guard for most of her three-hour visit inside a club boardroom — …
Perhaps belaboring the obvious, but no, these questions were not permitted to be directed at Palin. Just chattering among those in the cage.
It'd be a new wrinkle on the current VP, wouldn't it? Instead of hiding out in a secure, undisclosed location, just put the press there.
