Bill Moyers's new piece, Rage on the Radio, is worth watching. It looks at "'Shock Jock' media" -- mostly AM wingnut radio -- in light of the recent Knoxville church shooting. Probably won't tell you anything you don't already know, but it's a good piece, and the clips of guys like Michael Savage are even more over the top than you'd imagine. Freaked me out.
It's about 20 minutes long. Watch Rage on the Radio. Read more about it here. Transcript available on the video page.

Here's how you know Moyers is trustworthy (the exceedingly short shorthand): He properly inserted the word "falsely" into the famous "shout fire in a crowded theater" quote.
Hell even Supreme Court Justices screw that one up.
Also: "Liberal movement?" I'm a liberal but I've never heard of a movement. Paging Will Rogers...
Yes, good observation on "falsely." That jumped out at me, but I didn't stop to think that it had to be the correct quote. That Moyers is a good man.
I think we're more of a conspiracy than a movement, if the wingnuts are to be believed.
More like a loose collection of random strangers all stuck on the same elevator. Everybody has their own problems, concerns, irritations, and ultimate destinations but at the moment we all happen to be working for the same outcome.
Yes. I hope, for once, enough of us will agree to stop pushing our own personal buttons, and agree that we'd all like to move in the same direction: up.
