Now this, my friends, is FAIL we can believe in:
McCain takes credit for bill before it loses
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and his top aides took credit for building a winning bailout coalition – hours before the vote failed and stocks tanked.

These self-same Republicans were the ones who used to call Barney Frank "Barney Fag" to his face.
Now he is chairman of a powerful committee while they cut off our nose to spite his face, then pout as their grip on power (and reality) slip away.
Obama's instincts to focus on the issues instead of Palin's hairstyle have paid off. To quote The American President, these are serious times for serious people, and McPalin, your 15 minutes are up.
Yes. It is a particular delight to see Barney Frank being more of a man than the entire GOP Congressional delegation added together, isn't it?
It's also gratifying to see how much airplay Frank's comments have got. They made it to the nightly news in my obscure corner of the world, even.
Brendan, have you seen any serious commentary on the substance of the bailout? I've not been looking too hard, but came across Paul Krugman's thoughts, which were interesting, if brief. Danny O'Brien's commentary also resonated with me.
Do you have any other useful pointers?
