Dictionary Fail

Had to look up sententious. The usually reliable Google define:, passing along the equally usually reliable results from Princeton's Wordnet, gave this:

• abounding in or given to pompous or aphoristic moralizing

• pithy: concise and full of meaning

That's it. I'm cleaving.

I'd never heard the second meaning before. It sounds like someone was confusing sententious with compendious.

Eruditiously speaking, of course.
