Two Mirrors: Four Years and One Day Apart

Browsing a collection (via) of newspaper front pages from last week, I was reminded of another image squirreled away on my hard drive. Click to enlarge.

Yeesh, it's been over a week and I am still just giddy about the election. Vonnegut had that idea he referred to from time to time of collective psychology. Remember how he said Nazi Germany was a case of a whole nation going insane?

Well, I think the Obama election is going to have a massively positive impact on the mentality of the entire human race.

you pointed out the other day something about Bob being in good spirits; I can't recall your exact words, I'm probably mischaracterizing exactly what you said. But I noticed the same thing in Bob's recent diavlog: the relaxed, easy smile. The calm. The happiness. I think he's exhibiting the same post-election bliss as the rest of us.

Thank god thank god thank god we won that election.

It's hard to believe that was an actual headline of an actual newspaper, but it's a pretty accurate representation of how a lot of people around the world felt four years ago.
