Did You Ever Have The Feeling That This Country Would Be A Lot Better Off ...

... if only wingnut bloggers could get laid a little more often?

I'm sure I'm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, "Hey, I think she just winked at me." And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America. This is a quality that can't be learned; it's either something you have or you don't, and man, she's got it.
-- Rich Lowry

Thanks to John Cole for that catch. And, from a quick Google:

See Sarah Palin wink at the camera, and you can begin to understand why America’s heartland seems to love her Reagan-like communication style.

Sarah Palin, the Winner by a Wink
-- Byron York

And, well, sometimes it was hard not to fall for her down-home adorableness—wink, wink.
-- Richard Spencer

Remember how she acknowledged the presence of her Dad in the audience with a self-confident wink? Notice how she drops her “ing’s”? She connected overwhelmingly with her audience as Frank Luntz’s focus group later showed. [...]

My prediction is that her victory will not be recognized by the liberal media or intelligentsia but they know she has won.
-- Thomas F. Roeser

And I think the old 1000-word replacement posted over on Ace of Spades HQ about wraps it up (NSFW).

It was time that people started to acknowledge the obvious!

I think I posted about this within a few days of her nomination.

However, that kind of dynamic is very complex and I don't know how it would play out at the end. Specially because it's empty sex appeal. There's no intelligence, experience, knowledge or sophistication behind.

If one could, for example, transplant Hillary's brain into Sarah, we would have a winner. But, it would be a Democratic winner...

I'll keep Obama!

She's definitely a winker, as we siy over here. Sorry, one of my vowels seems to be milfunctioning.

(Actually, that works on a couple of levels; you get the basic "wanker" joke I'm sure, but given that Palin is allegedly a "MILF", my inadvertent "milfunction" is probably the better gag.)

Both great! If the second one was really inadvertent, I praise you for honesty. (I would have claimed full credit.) But I think we should acknowledge the wonder of sarahndipity.
