Via TPM: McCain pulls out of Michigan, effectively conceding he has no chance there.
In conference call, McCain campaign implicitly acknowledges erstwhile dead-safe red states (Indiana, North Carolina) are now battleground states, as are other states that Bush won (Virginia, Ohio, Florida, Missouri), most of which now show Obama in the lead.
For true junkies only: FiveThirtyEight accuses RealClearPolitics of cooking the books on polling summaries. Delicious, to my taste. (Also see follow-up post.)
