While reading the NYT's coverage of McCain's conventional speech, I came across an interesting graphic that shows the relative frequency of specific words used by all speakers at the two conventions. It's worth a look.
My favorite nuggets (all counts are per 25,000 words used):
Number of times Democrats mentioned Bush: 46
Number of times Republicans mentioned Bush: 7
Number of times Democrats mentioned Cheney: 6
Number of times Republicans mentioned Cheney: 0
Number of times Democrats mentioned their opponent by name: 78
Number of times Republicans mentioned their opponent by name: 25
Number of times Democrats said "jobs:" 39
Number of times Republicans said "jobs:" 18
Number of times Democrats said "four more years:" 14
Number of times Republicans said "four more years:" 0
As the kids say, FTW.
