Polling Place Report

Bumped to top. I'll be away from the machine for a few hours. Add your voting story to the Comments, please.

__________

I just got back from voting. Couldn't wait. Happily, neither could a bunch of other people, including two black guys older than me. Overheard:

This is your first time voting, isn't it?

Yeah.

Yeah, me too.

No terrorist fist jabs were observed.

We are the ones.

Yes. We. Can.

For 7:30 AM, my polling place was insanely busy. I am guessing that good old Minnesota will crack 80% turnout.

Excellent!

Thanks for the report, Sornie.

Just got back from the polling station. I live in a tiny town, and usually there are only 2-3 other voters in the entire place at any given time, leaving most of the machines available for use. This is the first time since I moved here in 1995 that the place was packed full. Every machine taken, and lots of people in line.

voted this morning on the Lower East Side of New York City. Hundreds of people there at 8:30am, but at least 30 voting booths and plenty of helpful, well informed poll workers. Took about 15 minutes total.

Good to hear from you, PDP.
